Installation and Application
These pumps are suitable for handling clean water not containing abrasive particles and chemically non-aggressive fluids at temperatures of no more than 60ˇăC. Reliable, compact, economical and simple to use, they are particularly suitable for domestic applications, such as water supply and the automatic distribution of water from storage tanks, watering gardens, lifting water from tanks or wells down to a depth of 9m. The pump is supplied with a check valve on the suction side so that no foot valve is required.
This type pump is provided with a pressure tank and a pressure switch which controls starting and stopping the pump. When the pump discharge pressure increases to a setting point (e.g.2.4 bar), the switch cuts off, and the motor stops. At the same time compressed gas in the tank forces water out of tank, when the pressure decreases to a setting point (e.g. 1.6bar), the switch cuts in and the motor restarts. A new cycle begins. This makes pump operating in a setting region.
